The design is inspired by local architecture with a modern composition. In the quarter of Hedzranawe at a few kilometres of Lome (Togo), we propose a clinic to contribute to the health domain. In Togo, there’s a lack of medical facilities and that is why I nourish an interest in this topic. This clinic is created in the wish to help the community and eventually reinvent healthcare building

The project wants to change the lifestyle of people. But now, how to process? Architecture is characterised by two Volumes linked by footbridges. The space between both is a great atrium, this one contain water plan. The first volume at the front containing entrance also consists of two sub-shapes. These offer creation of another atrium above the great hall. And then, transparency of architecture is unveiled. Each bedroom has a privileged view on the city. The vast scale of greenery reflects the seasons, and redefines the built environment. Desiring to add a relaxation space and bring happiness to patients and to families, design is materialised with light, shade, greenery, atrium, water plan, open links, and colours along its long structure. Because of the climate, western and southern facades are protected by shutters.

Drop off prevents rainy time and shade by warm seasons. Climate allows bioclimatic solutions often found in traditional constructions. Building use natural ventilation and air conditioning depending on affectation of each space. Several offices, bedroom and consulting room can use natural ventilation and lighting while the laboratory, surgery or imagery services only use air conditioning and artificial control lighting. That is why, an efficient system of LED lighting is installed. Because of the climate, western and southern facades are protected by shutters. Drop off prevents rainy time and shade by warm seasons. Climate allows bioclimatic solutions often found in traditional constructions. This clinic is a smart solution approach for cities of the future. It both responds to spatial, energy, environmental, ecological and bioclimatic demand of the city and population.

A large variety of materials make this building welcoming for his surroundings. Concrete, Wood, Stone, Plexiglas, Glass, Alucobond, Polycarbonate, Aluminium and Limestone consist of the main materials using external identity. At indoor; wood, anodised alucocond and non-skid Ceramic partially define materiality of the design. There’s a collecting system for grey water, rainwater and storm water. To take advantage of nature, the building is open on its environment and provides aesthetic and visual comfort. An atrium serves as relaxation and leisure spaces for visitors, patient and medical teams.
