A custom one-of-a-kind dining table inspired by the surrounding natural mountain landscape. The table is made of rift cut white oak and an organic fluid tree branch inspired steel legs that are powder coated in a silver finish. The tabletop is 12’ long by 42” wide by 30” high and the oak top is 2” thick. For the top, a custom stain color was selected to coordinate with the dining chairs, built-in leather banquet and the rest of the modern kitchen design.

Most of the weight was distributed in the center with one long leg making the overall look of a cantilevered appearance. These clients love to entertain so it needed to seat up to 10 to 12 people comfortably and the client wanted the seating to be flexible with 4 side chairs, 2 head chairs and a built-in leather storage bench on one side. When creating the layout for the legs the side chairs and head chairs needed to be considered to ensure that those seated in those chairs could sit comfortably at the table without running their knees into the base. Also, had to consider those sliding in and out on the bench side so that they could move in and out with little difficulty or discomfort. Laying out the placement of the legs also required proper distribution of weight so the table sits solidly and does not tilt or wobble. The table is not only functional, but a true piece of art that the clients are proud to have as a statement piece in their dining room to share with their family and friends.
