4+2+1 is the common family structure in contemporary China. High housing prices, busy jobs and close family ties have forced the “only generation” of young people to pay tribute to their parents and care for their children. Even so, the post-80s and post-90s still insist on their own requirements for quality of life under great pressure. So, how to make the life of people in need more comfortable? This case is an exploration of the most typical lifestyle in contemporary China.
By changing the house structure through the first building, the home is more suitable for the architectural needs of contemporary people, rather than staying on the surface aesthetic exploration. It is resolved by a series of ways, such as looking at space from the dimension of time, blurring the boundary of traditional narrative space, and creating the moving line of happiness, taking the interests of residents as the starting point. Design comes from life and will serve life. Confront every need and try to solve it, to think through conflicts and return family life to long-lost happiness.
