Inside the double-storey lobbies, an impression of warmth and comfort emits throughout the spaces. Upper West Side was designed exclusively to create communal lounge environments, complemented with inspired contemporary features. The urban architecture influenced the designers’ authentic use of materials with a rich palette of natural and polished textures, from a bespoke brick wall made from reclaimed brick to an atrium with a custom sculptural tree.
Strategically placed lighting guides guests through the space while seamlessly connecting the co-working space and social lounge. Through the sleek, revolving glass doors, residents and guests can enjoy the multi-functional space designed for socializing or comfortable seating. Rich textures highlighted by custom lighting offers a place of retreat and comfort – a livable look of luxury.
One of the most important aspects of the overall project was to create a design that reflected the reality of an everchanging world. Incorporating sustainable features with socially responsible practices was an essential part of the design process. Thoughtful materials and finishes (such as anti-bacterial choices for high touchpoint features) were selected to help with maintenance and operations to create a clean and safe environment. Bringing in natural light, conceiving smart use of spaces, and establishing a sense of security and calm to make the most of the interior environment are all features that were incorporated into this project.
The extensive building amenities provide residents with lifestyle-inspired programs that includes, a social lounge and co-working space with flexible and spacious seating throughout, party room with chef-inspired entertainment kitchen, yoga & movement studio, fitness center, and a pet wash station. An impressive additional feature is the rooftop terrace that celebrates a 360 degree view of the surrounding community.
Timeless and elegant, the Upper West Side delivers stunning contemporary layouts with attention to quality and materiality, exuding an upscale living experience.
