2022 GFD 🏆 Awards

Silver Winner | In Memory of Kandinsky | Aleksandra Lavrukhina

The inspiration for the creation of such an unusual garden was the painting by Vasily Kandinsky “Composition II”. It is so difficult to imagine that this painting was painted almost 100 years ago, in 1923, and how relevant and modern it is in our present time. I was so impressed that I decided to create a project in tribute to this great master. Kandinsky is a brilliant Russian artist and I admire his talent.

Take as a basis the painting “Composition II” and make it three-dimensional, real, using various modern materials – wood, concrete, metal, plastic and mirrors and add bright, juicy colors. The landscaping uses voluminous, architectural, picturesque trees and clear, straight clipped hedges, there are structural cereals.

There are several relaxation areas in the garden. During the day, you can read a book in the shade of a tree or relax in the Jacuzzi and sunbathe, or you can drink coffee by the pond. In the evening, it is cozy to sit with a company around the campfire on soft poufs.
