In this project, the designer adopted “time and life” as the theme and created a transcendent space. Like an ark carrying the strength of life, it floats in the river of time and space, waiting for people to board, get rejuvenated, and sustain life.
1. Femtosecond Hall
The journey begins with the Second Ring, a centerpiece installation symbolizing the pulse of time, intertwined with sleek stainless steel columns. Above, a Waterfall of Light cascades, with luminous particles reversing their flow—a poetic expression of reversing the passage of time. The interplay of light, shadow, and reflective surfaces creates a dynamic, ethereal atmosphere, immersing visitors in the fleeting, tangible beauty of the present moment.
2. Temple of Time
Drawing from Max Planck’s notion of vibrating energy fields, this space uses circular geometries to generate a field-like ambiance. Polished stainless steel panels reflect light, infusing the room with a sense of motion and energy. Interactive LED installations react to touch, creating a visceral connection between visitors and their surroundings. This room is not merely a modern technological marvel but a reminder of human presence amid the infinite. The design embodies the mythological ark—a vessel that carries life and wisdom into uncharted futures.
3. Starlight Hall
The Starlight Hall bridges tradition and modernity, drawing inspiration from the ancient Chinese cosmological concept of “round heaven and square earth.” The dark stone flooring, juxtaposed with the ethereal reflections of scattered lights, evokes the infinite expanse of the cosmos. Tables, designed as planetary forms, are modular and mobile, allowing the room to transform effortlessly from a meeting space to an entertainment venue. Guests are invited to explore, interact, and experience the universe in microcosm.
4. Ethereal Hall
Here, gastronomy becomes an art of cosmic proportions. Inspired by the Song Dynasty’s practice of “watching the meal,” the dining experience is elevated to a multisensory journey. Honeycomb mirror panels reflect and expand the space, creating an illusion of dining among the stars. This hall invites guests to savor delicacies as though partaking in the grandeur of life itself—spanning the micro and macro, the tangible and celestial.
5. Fang Yuan
The outdoor space, Fang Yuan, extends the ark’s journey into nature and beyond. Streamlined white strips carve through the landscape, resembling star trails passing through a wormhole. Carefully curated plants evoke the essence of alien terrains, merging the familiar with the otherworldly. Inspired by Shunmyo Masuno’s philosophy of contemporary gardens, Fang Yuan connects past, present, and future, embodying a timeless dialogue between human design and nature’s vitality.
This design transcends the conventional bounds of a corporate clubhouse, inviting every visitor to board this club to enjoy an immersive voyage through time, life, and imagination.
