Situated between two peaks, the architecture of the project spans across them, blending with one side of the mountain while towering on the other, creating a subtle yet striking beauty that preserves the original skyline. The buildings seem to nestle within the vast sea of azaleas, integrating seamlessly with the surrounding environment. Employing the contrasting technique of Chinese poetics, the project expresses a life aesthetic that acknowledges the dual facets of existence, embodying harmony within opposing elements.

Among them, the Canal Art Gallery transforms serene row houses into interconnected giant stones and caves, forming an outdoor public maze. Interplay of light and shadow within creates an open-air public art space out of what was traditionally an enclosed gallery, fostering closer connections between exhibitions, artworks and visiting participants.

Overall, the project highlights local characteristics, making full use of sustainable materials and indigenous stones, leveraging the natural terrain of the mountain forests and man-made pathways, retaining walls, and slopes, to seamlessly integrate the water plant buildings with the natural environment. It creates a high-quality, intelligent, and secure demonstration water plant within the high mountain park setting.
