This 29,000-square-foot Las Vegas residence, designed by H&S International in collaboration with Rottet Studio, combines the grandeur of a boutique resort with the warmth and functionality of a family home. Created for a couple with four young boys and a lively social circle, the house required an extraordinary balance between large-scale entertaining and intimate daily living. Architecturally, the steel-f ramed structure stretches low across its desert site, def ined by broad stucco planes, expansive glass, and a dramatic cantilevered portico supported by backward-leaning columns that introduce a sense of movement.

The interiors embrace a philosophy of human-scaled comfort, beginning with an entry hall anchored by a 26-foot long f ritted tangerine-glass chandelier floating above a substantial 12-foot Nero Marquina marble bench. The vast double-height great room, occupying nearly a quarter of the ground floor, is thoughtfully divided into smaller, rug-def ined seating areas that create pockets of intimacy within the soaring space. A concrete-look, porcelain tile floor and a restrained palette of quiet f inishes allow statement pieces—such as a f ire-engine red grand piano that belonged to Elton John—to shine without overwhelming the interior. The adjacent kitchen and dining areas blend functionality with theatrical flair, including a hammered-nickel island, topaz-glass lighting, dual glass-walled wine rooms, and a gold-leaf ceiling f issure illuminated by shifting LEDs.
Connections to nature remain central throughout the space, including a skylit Zen garden occupying the heart of the home, surrounded by an upper-level gallery leading to children’s bedrooms, a bunk room, and play areas. Leisure and entertainment zones—ranging f rom a theater and game lounge to a golf simulator and cigar bar—are integrated seamlessly, supporting both everyday family life and large gatherings. At the opposite wing, the primary suite offers a serene retreat featuring an oak-slat canopy beneath a soaring ceiling and a spa-like bath centered around a hand-chiseled basalt tub.
From the massive scale of soaring planes to intimae interior areas, the project demonstrates how careful orchestration of architecture, materials, and spatial flow can transform an expansive footprint into a warm, inviting environment that celebrates family living, social connection, and the beauty of the desert landscape.
