The design director masterfully reimagined the existing layout to create fluidity and connection, addressing the owners’ desire for a more functional and intimate living experience. The expansive living area was transformed into an interconnected, multi-functional space, fostering a sense of togetherness while preserving opportunities for quiet retreat. Here, the interplay of light, texture, and form weaves an ambiance that enhances the family’s daily interactions, encouraging moments of shared joy and connection.
The dining area, a centerpiece of the home, embodies understated luxury. The natural cold jade stone dining table becomes a sculptural focal point, where ritual and conviviality coexist. The clean lines of the metal ceiling above guide the eye to this harmonious composition, creating a space that effortlessly transitions from lively gatherings to moments of serene solitude. The deliberate use of light and materiality enhances the atmosphere, blending elegance with warmth.
The master suite is a sanctuary of refined simplicity, where natural stone and wood grating introduce texture and warmth, complemented by soft, neutral tones. A bespoke Hermes-orange chair adds a vibrant touch to the otherwise serene palette, embodying a sophisticated yet tranquil environment. The adjoining study reinterprets traditional aesthetics with modern sensibilities, presenting a lighter, more poetic approach to a private workspace.
The daughter’s room is a celebration of youthful spirit, characterized by a soft and fresh color palette. Gentle greens and warm textiles envelop the space in comfort, while playful elements such as a bright yellow chandelier and an irregularly shaped rug inject a sense of whimsy. The adjoining study echoes these tones, with natural light filtering through delicate window treatments, creating an inspiring haven for creativity and learning.
Throughout the home, windows serve as both frames and bridges, establishing aesthetic perspectives while blurring the boundaries between inside and out. They invite the beauty of nature to flow into the space, creating an ever-changing dialogue between the interior and the landscape. This design moves beyond the ordinary, challenging aesthetic norms to craft a home that is as much about feeling as it is about function. By prioritizing the essence of life itself—its rhythm, its beauty, and its quiet moments—the project offers an invitation to live authentically.
