The Client’s Brief and Challenge
The SOIA Design team faced an ambitious challenge: to create a unique and memorable restaurant design that would highlight Georgian culture while attracting a modern audience. Our clients were looking for a solution that could unite traditional elements with cutting-edge design approaches. One of the main problems the restaurant owners wanted to solve was to avoid the standard interior solutions so common in the hospitality industry. They aimed to create a space that would stand out among other venues, providing guests with a one-of-a-kind experience while maintaining functionality and comfort.
How We Solved the Problem
SOIA Design not only met the client’s expectations but exceeded them, creating an interior that reflects their vision and unique values. We incorporated elements that highlight the restaurant’s Georgian roots, such as traditional materials, textures, and decorative elements, while employing the latest technologies and contemporary design techniques. Custom-designed shelving, chandeliers, and furniture helped create a space unlike any other restaurant.
The design concept is built around warm tones in the finishing materials, enveloping visitors in an ambiance of hospitality and comfort. Decorative finishes, like gold-plastered walls, bring a subtle sparkle and touch of luxury to the space. Notable elements include massive beehive-shaped chandeliers that symbolize traditional Georgian architecture and balusters crafted to resemble black peppercorns, emphasizing the country’s culture and love for spices.
Our team meticulously worked on every detail, ensuring that the interior was not only exclusive but also highly functional, easily adapting to different event formats—from tastings to concerts. In this way, we helped “Mamuli” establish a unique, memorable space that attracts guests and strengthens its reputation.
