Al Mamlaka Social Dining has set a new standard for food hall development in the Middle East, establishing itself as a premier destination for dining, mixing, and socialising. TGP’s mission was to transform the underutilised top floor of the iconic Kingdom Centre’s mall complex into a vibrant social hub, breaking away from traditional Saudi dining norms, which have long been dominated by exclusive restaurants and fine dining establishments. The concept of ‘social dining’ emerged as a key element during the development phase.

Today, Al Mamlaka Social Dining offers 21 unique dining experiences across 2,400 square meters, featuring a blend of open-kitchen layouts, eight new-to-market brands, and the involvement of five award-winning global chefs. The venue combines rustic elegance with modern sophistication, creating a unified customer experience that celebrates inclusivity, diversity, and community.
A significant aspect of the design is the open kitchen approach, which draws diners’ attention to the culinary excitement and energy of the space. This design strategy aims to create a theatrical ambiance, enhancing the overall dining experience and providing a unique form of entertainment for an audience that increasingly values social and inclusive dining settings.
The design also emphasises an indoor-outdoor narrative, seamlessly integrating natural greenery into the interior. This is achieved through the use of soothing natural color palettes, shades of green, curated materials, indoor plants, and textures like rattan and wood. The 8-meter bi-folding door opens to an outdoor terrace, where a 27-meter fascia bridges the indoor and outdoor spaces, creating a harmonious alfresco dining experience that blends authentic nature with interior design.
The diverse seating options, including low banquette seats, traditional table setups, and counter arrangements, contribute to a playful yet sophisticated atmosphere. This flexibility is mirrored in the food offerings, which range from fine dining-style plates to indulgent desserts and delicatessen items. The interior design evolves across the venue’s four major zones: Coffee and Breakfast, The International Collection, Deli Dining, and Destination Restaurants. Each zone features distinct design elements that reflect the space’s transition from the fresh, invigorating mornings to the refined elegance of the evening, enhanced by warm rustic lighting and deep, rich tones. Furthermore, the venue champions sustainable hospitality by supporting local talent, brands, and materials, including locally produced terrazzo countertops and a variety of marbles. The success of Al Mamlaka Social Dining is reflected in its enthusiastic reception and its ongoing dedication to demonstrating how F&B design can deliver genuine value to communities.
