A modern living space was created in the project, taking into account the advantages of its location. Secure housing – site life and an open shopping center are offered together to create opportunities that meet the 24-hour life cycle are provided. Galya Center, as a small part of the city, is designed with the human scale in mind. The project has commercial and residential uses that feed each other and offer the opportunity to experience the pedestrian texture and daily action patterns of the urban dweller – through places such as walking, socializing, shopping, eating and drinking, and event areas.

One main square is placed nearby the Yozgat Boulevard to welcome visitors and to represent itself as a gathering point that overlooks the project. The square continues with a pedestrian axis in between the commercial units and it opens itself to the other boulevard that the site shares. Since the ground level of the project consists of two main masses, the street creates a familiar experience on the domestic shopping streets. Open, semi-open and closed spaces in the open shopping center concept designed around the street layout offer healthy and safe experiences to people. Also, the pedestrian movement is supported and enhanced by the landscape features.

The office block is placed at the corner of the site that is accessible directly from both Yozgat Boulevard and main street next to project area to eliminate itself from the daily life of accomodation units but keeps its connection with the commercial units and city life. The office block also differentiates itself with its double facade that consists of semi-transparent meshes and openings with a harmony of the interior spaces.

The project consists of residential units that stands at the top of the shoping units, however accomodation has its own recreational area that is isolated from the boulevards dense stream. It is aimed to create more secured and safe environment for children and dewellers of the project to match with their daily life patterns. The residential blocks are designed to offer variation with interior and open spaces. Terraces, balconies and greenary with various sizes and qualities serve to different preferences for dwellers and differentiates itself from standardized residential projects. The design of the Galya Center aims to stand out with its block layout, use of open space terraces, facade character and silhouette effect, will significantly affect the atmosphere of the environment with its functional variety in both human scale and in an urban scale.
