Project Overview
The scope of the project includes the Concept Design and Architecture for a lifestyle hotel, with a strong emphasis on public spaces over guest rooms. These areas, including the lobby, rooftop F&B outlets, lounges, and an art centre, are designed to foster interaction and create a vibrant atmosphere. The hotel is planned with careful attention to the site’s strengths, addressing challenges and leveraging opportunities to maximize the guest experience.

Design Concept
Inspired by resort aesthetics, the design integrates traditional and natural elements alongside quirky details to create a memorable environment for diverse guests. The hotel consists of G+3 floors, with a grand atrium that splits the building into two zones, allowing natural light to filter through all areas. Public spaces on the ground floor are intuitively placed for optimal flow and interaction, while guest rooms are positioned to take full advantage of the surrounding views. A rooftop terrace featuring a bar, lounge, and infinity pool provides a unique, desirable space for relaxation, overlooking the sea.

The design emphasizes coastal resort aesthetics with local touches, seamlessly integrating the natural surroundings and Yanbu’s cultural elements. The guest experience is central to the design, with spaces thoughtfully crafted to evoke the sea and coastal living, all while maintaining modern comfort and functionality.

Guestroom Designs
The standard rooms capture the essence of Al Bahar with an open, sunlit layout that brings the coastal atmosphere indoors. Key features include fishing net-inspired decor, wooden textures reminiscent of a fisherman’s boat, fish-scale patterned bathroom tiles, and sand-coloured plaster finishes, all of which create a warm, inviting space. Custom-designed furniture and a locally inspired TV unit and wardrobe complete the room’s aesthetic, blending modern luxury with cultural authenticity.

The Lifestyle Suites are inspired by the natural beauty of Al Nakhal, featuring lush greenery decor, large windows for ample natural light, and upscale furnishings. These rooms emphasize comfort and privacy, with elements that invite guests to immerse themselves in the local environment.

In contrast, Yanbu Industrial-style rooms embrace a mix of materials like clay, leather, concrete, and wood, creating an exploratory, modern atmosphere. These rooms combine industrial design elements with high-end finishes, offering a contemporary yet culturally rooted experience.Restaurant and Public Spaces
The hotel’s restaurant draws heavily from local culture, featuring a design that balances rich colours with traditional materials. The wooden ceiling adds warmth and authenticity, while vibrant hues reflect the region’s lively spirit. The use of natural materials and detailed craftsmanship ensures a dining experience that deeply connects guests to Yanbu’s cultural heritage.
