Concept
The primary objective of Next Collection was to create a complex that not only blends with the environment but enhances it. The design takes into account the local context, ensuring that the building’s geometric forms and proportions mirror the contours of the natural terrain. This approach allows the architecture to blend seamlessly with the landscape, offering a fluid transition between the building and its surroundings. The choice of materials and color palette reflects the natural beauty of the environment, using organic forms and textures to create a cohesive aesthetic that complements the coastal and botanical setting.
Context
The location of Next Collection further distinguishes the project. Situated in Green Cape, the complex benefits from its proximity to the Black Sea and the renowned Batumi Botanical Garden, one of the most cultivated gardens in Europe. The building’s terraces provide sweeping panoramic views of both the sea and the botanical garden, creating a unique connection between architecture and nature. The region’s climate played a key role in shaping the landscape design, with a variety of plant species carefully selected for patio terraces and rooftop gardens. These green spaces not only enhance the aesthetics but also create a sense of immersion within the natural environment.
Functions and Planning
Beneath the project’s striking architecture lies a highly functional and thoughtfully planned structure. The complex consists of three independent wings, unified by a shared podium that serves as the base of the design. This podium is landscaped to create a vibrant garden space, which contributes to the complex’s integration with the environment. A key feature is the rooftop, which hosts a restaurant, bar, and swimming pool. These public spaces prioritize interaction and social engagement, making the complex more than just a place to stay—it’s a community hub that blends leisure, social, and cultural experiences.
Conclusion
The Next Collection multifunctional complex is a testament to the power of organic architecture, where form and function harmonise with the natural environment. By combining innovative design with respect for the surrounding landscape, the project offers a modern living experience that celebrates the beauty of its coastal location.
