The project is situated in the “1+7” Yanzi Lake key area of Liangshan District , with two Stations of Metro Line 16 traversing the central part, providing convenient transportation. The project is surrounded by greenery on all sides, boasting rich ecological resources with mountains and water, as well as cultural resources with numerous enclosed houses.
Leveraging the unique site characteristics, the planning establishes the goal of “mountain-water integration and park-community”. To clarify the urban image of Yanzi Lake, we focus on three key elements: “internationalization, pastoral charm, and Lingnan style,” and proposes three strategies:
- Cloud Ring Sky Street, Multifaceted Living
The planning leverages dual transit stations to strengthen three-dimensional connectivity, integrating surrounding commercial areas through the “Cloud Ring Sky Street” to create five themed districts. Adopting the “PARK+TOD” concept, we extend pocket parks and urban parks into the site to develop a shopping park that offers experiences, purchases, and health benefits. Additionally, ten urban IPs will be introduced to establish a new landmark as the commercial center of eastern Shenzhen.
- Street and Alley Parks, Connecting Mountains and Water
The plan proposes a four-tiered network of street and alley parks, linking natural and cultural resources. This integration aims to create a closer relationship between the landscape and community life. Additionally, the design incorporates fourth-generation residential building concepts, fostering a mountain-water ecological community.
- New Streets and Old Alleys, Cultural Parlor
To maximize the preservation of the Lingnan architectural style, the plan integrates cultural relics, parks, neighborhood centers, and schools to create the Shijing Cultural Parlor, serving as the community’s public activity hub. Traditional Lingnan-style streets will be maintained around village areas, blending the old with the new to enhance modern urban public spaces. The neighborhood center, comprising “commercial, public facilities, and public spaces” will be social-focused community experience center.
