Envisioned as a vibrant coastal enclave, Sunshine Bay is a 13-storey residential project that draws upon the seabound form of a sailboat to create a memorable and visually striking edifice. Its balconies—despite being rendered in the immobility of concrete—seem to zig and zag like the sail of a yacht, whilst its lower podium structure harkens to the skids of a catamaran and the gently curving hull of a yacht.

Built upon the northwestern Ras Al-Khaimah coastline of the United Arab Emirates, it features gorgeous views of the adjacent Persian Gulf and aims to be a globally connected and highly sustainable lifestyle development.
All of the property’s 240 apartment units are housed in its main tower, and each apartment comes with its own large, curving balcony, imbuing Sunshine Bay’s façade with a sense of motion akin to the sails of a yacht or perhaps even the ocean waves themselves.
Internally, Sunshine Bay’s ground level houses its lobby, which opens up to an atrium whose green-clad landscaping extends upwards across all of the structure’s levels, which—coupled with an open, spacious design that eschews claustrophobic corridors—assists in the vertical distribution of oxygenated, moistened air, contributing to a more pleasant interior climate, thereby reducing the building’s energy consumption and protecting its inhabitants from very hot weather.
The rooftop level, on the other hand, encompasses a small garden and walkway, all sheltered by a trellised roof.
Additionally, Sunshine Bay’s interior and exterior areas also house multiple gardens and water features, which provide an eco-friendly solution to the UAE’s occasionally hot weather. Furthermore, this approach also helps Sunshine Bay meet various sustainability standards, such as Dubai’s key Estidama design initiative. Serving as a tranquil oasis in the UAE’s urban and desert landscapes, Sunshine Bay offers luxurious amenities as well as first-class living spaces, encapsulating a property whose residents will be more than proud to call home.
