The project is ideally located around 200 metres north of Munich’s main railway station, which is an arrival point for trains from all over Germany. This station is particularly important given that Munich has become the capital of the South, making it a strategic international crossroads.

The Stack is part of Munich’s ambition to become a European metropolis with an international outlook.
The project itself, as well as its integration into the neighbourhood, is designed to endure thanks to high-quality architecture and an inclusive, sustainable approach. Urban planning, design, functionality, space efficiency and financing are all taken into account in this ambitious project for a hybrid timber construction with a supra gross floor area and infrastructure.
The high sustainability standards set by the owners are being met in all aspects of the construction, from building technology and green space planning to operation. A unique feature of the project is its use of hybrid timber construction. The aim of achieving an office/retail efficiency of over 89% will have a significant impact on the population of Munich. For this reason, the project is aiming for LEED and DNGB Platinum certification. The building features a green façade that creates an interesting dichotomy between the wooden interior and the metal exterior, forming frames towards the city. The project has been designed with the well-being of users in mind, offering a smooth urban transition to the patios on the ground floor, integrating greenery into the office floors and offering terraces and a fifth green façade on the roof, creating a green landscape with meeting spaces.
