2.INSPIRATION:
Concept:ROTUNDA
Inspired by the concept of “ROTUNDA,” this space is centered around a circular design that seamlessly integrates unique aesthetics with social interaction functions. Through a deep consideration of fluid spatial layout, it breaks the boundaries of traditional sales center design. The circular hall naturally connects the functional areas, fostering communication and interaction. It serves not only as a visual focal point but also symbolizes harmony and completeness. The clever design ensures the space meets everyday needs while offering an art exhibition function, balancing practicality with an artistic atmosphere to present a rich spatial experience.
3.MATERIALS:
Spatial Focus: The circular atrium serves as the visual focal point, subtly guiding sightlines and circulation, naturally drawing attention to the central area. The artful waterfall-inspired lighting illuminates the space, adding a unique artistic ambiance to the environment.
Material Aesthetics: High-quality materials such as iridescent glass curtain walls and mirrored ceilings are chosen to fulfill both aesthetic and functional needs, enhancing the space’s artistic appeal while ensuring practicality.
4. TECHNICAL PROPERTIES
Glass Selection:
In key areas like the exhibition zone and lounge seating areas, the largest size of vibrant glass panels (1400mm x 10mm x 3000mm) has been selected, with the following advantages:
- Unique Visual Effects: With special treatment, the vibrant glass presents rich color changes under different lighting conditions, enhancing the artistic and dynamic feel of the space.
- Low-Carbon and Eco-Friendly: The manufacturing process of the glass is environmentally friendly, using recyclable materials and reducing production waste, in line with green building standards.
- Recyclability: As a glass material, vibrant glass can be recycled at the end of its lifecycle, contributing to resource circulation and sustainability.
5. INTERACTION:
The design creates a space naturally connected through the central circular hall, fostering an environment that is both artistic and dynamic. The hall, as the core element, attracts attention and guides people effortlessly to various functional areas such as meeting rooms, lounges, and office spaces. Carefully designed lighting, ceilings, and decorative elements bring vitality to the space and enhance its spacious feel. The design encourages free interaction, blurs the boundaries of space, and enhances user experience, making it comfortable and practical, with both an artistic ambiance and efficient functionality.
6.RESEARCH ABSTRACT:
Commercial Impact:
Through the unique design with an artistic atmosphere, the project provides the enterprise with a high-end exhibition platform, effectively enhancing the brand image. Elements such as vibrant glass and the circular hall make the space itself an expression of both visual identity and brand, leaving a lasting impression on clients and visitors, and boosting the company’s market competitiveness.
Design Effect:
The project successfully integrates art and functionality, meeting social interaction needs while creating an artistic ambiance. By using eco-friendly materials like recyclable vibrant glass, the design demonstrates a balance between aesthetics and sustainability in modern architecture.
7.RESEARCH CHALLENGE:
Challenge:
Large-scale production and installation of iridescent glass in the circular hall.
The glass dimensions are up to 1400mm x 10mm x 3000mm and need to be bent into a perfect arc for the circular area. To address this challenge, the design team collaborated with glass manufacturers and utilized advanced bending technology to ensure each piece of glass fit the curved structure perfectly without damage. Through multiple sample tests, the team successfully achieved precise installation, meeting aesthetic requirements while ensuring the flawless presentation of the structure.
