Gold Winner | Premier Inn Wiesbaden City Centre Hotel | grabowski.spork architektur

The seven-storey new building prominently occupies one of the most important city entrances to the state capital at the junction of Mainzer Strasse and Gustav-Stresemann-Ring. By taking up the building lines along the Ring, the clear volume strengthens the heterogeneous urban situation along the streets in this urban area.

A façade of red brick slips is regularly structured and sculpturally elaborated with proportioned projections and recesses around the double-wing windows and the rounded corners of the building. To emphasise the base floor and the upper finish, the window openings there are larger than on the regular floors.

The lobby of the hotel can be reached both from Gustav-Stresemann-Ring and from the adjacent parking deck at the rear. The reception area with bar and lounge, the restaurant and the circulation area are centrally located here. The 164 rooms in total are oriented towards the ring or the rear property. Three different room types are planned. The basement houses ancillary rooms and the building services. The parking deck with 66 parking spaces can be accessed from Mainzer Straße and from Fritz-Reuter-Strasse at the rear.
