The masterplan design adopts a streamlined and meandering layout, discarding the rigid block-like model, enhancing the city’s taste and radiating to the surrounding areas. The overall facade design incorporates nautical elements, taking sailing boats as the main theme, symbolizing the competition of a thousand sails. The landscape design mainly takes marine elements as the theme and relies on the natural landscape of Wanquan River to create an ecological vacation destination.
Its commercial area, with red bricks as main tone, creates a unique cultural and tourism experience through the collision of traditional materials and modern construction techniques. Every scene, captured by people’s lenses, seems like a meticulously prepared art space, encompassing various elements such as marine landscapes, architectural aesthetics, and trendy culture. Meanwhile, the commercial district is also subdivided into multiple 5-minute living circles to meet the needs of different customer groups. The residential area is designed with a model of three-dimensional greening and sky courtyards to create China’s fourth-generation ecological residences. The hotel-style positioning of the hot spring, the continuous and meandering sequence of spaces offer people living here a relaxing and pleasant lifestyle.
The composite community will offer diverse public Spaces: commercial streets to meet consumer demands, riverside walkways and green Spaces to enhance leisure functions, and residential areas to introduce the concept of “vacation-style living”, effectively boosting residents’ sense of happiness. By integrating commercial, residential and vacation functions, the community will become the core flow entry point along the Wanquan River. The model of “distinctive check-in spots + commercial circle linkage” has given rise to new consumption scenarios and promoted the diversified development of the regional economy. The project attracts young makers to settle in the cultural and creative space, forming an “cultural tourism + mass entrepreneurship and innovation” ecosystem.
Taking culture and tourism as the entry point, the project will drive the coordinated development of urban economic transformation, cultural revival, urban image improvement and ecological protection, providing a Qionghai model of “culture and tourism empowering urban renewal” for the construction of the Hainan Free Trade Port.
