Creating a sustainable and comfortable home for a modern family is the objective of this project. Our team took on this challenge and focused on designing a 5,000-square-foot contemporary space that would benefit both the family and the planet. We carefully crafted every detail of the interior and exterior to ensure it met the family’s needs and would last for decades to come. Our design process integrated passive elements that promote the health of the family and the environment while achieving a modern, inspiring look and feel.

The design of his home’s exterior is a perfect blend of contemporary and transitional styles. With a thicker exterior envelope than usual, the passive-style elements of the home help save energy by preventing excess heat from transferring in and out. The placement of each room was carefully considered based on extensive research on the sun’s rotation and the house’s location. This helps to ensure that natural sunlight shines through the main rooms of the house throughout the day, reducing high electric bills and their carbon footprint.
As you approach this home, the contemporary design immediately captures your attention. The stucco exterior creates a seamless and polished look that exudes modern elegance. The carefully chosen colors for the exterior blend perfectly, striking a harmonious balance between light and dark tones. The expansive windows throughout the home allow natural sunlight to flow in unobstructed, illuminating every corner with warmth and radiance. The inviting stone-wrapped posts at the entrance of the home add a welcoming touch and set the tone for the beauty that awaits within. As you step inside, the two-car garage and deck greet you on opposite sides, grounding the home’s exterior and bringing the perfect balance to this magnificent masterpiece.
The house boasts a spacious open floor plan that seamlessly connects the kitchen, living room, and four-season room. The four-seasons room doubles as a dining area and has sliding doors that lead out to the deck. Additionally, the first floor features a mudroom that connects the kitchen to the two-car garage and a powder room. On the second floor, you’ll find 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and a laundry room. Among the four bedrooms is the master suite that comes with a balcony overlooking the front yard.
