Chinese people’s cultural and spiritual life and aesthetic development peaked in the Song dynasty, which is very similar to our desire for a higher quality of life at the current stage of social development. Referring to the aesthetics of the Song dynasty, this project reinterprets the quality lifestyle with Chinese fad elements by means of modern construction techniques. Located in Jinniu District, Chengdu, the Sales Center has an exhibition area of 6,502.8 m² and a building area of 894.63 m². By emphasizing the straight linear feeling, soft and delicate feeling and exquisite structural feeling, the characteristics of Song-style aesthetics are reproduced in design. The design team retains and optimizes the distinctive elements of the Song dynasty architecture, and restores the exquisite style of the Song dynasty with modern materials. The main characteristic elements include: Double-eave roofs, upturned eaves, layers of arches, thin pillars, simple and elegant partition windows, shimmering intermediate rafters and architectural pattern of “five phoenixes worshiping the sun.”
