Nanchang is a historical city in China, situated on the bank of the Yangtze River and is well-known for its abundant water resources. To create a unique future Joy City Complex as a new landmark on the waterfront, the fluent curve language is inspired from the shinning water waves. The brand is integrated into the dynamic skirt facade with recognizably “Joy City” characteristics, yet a new and fresh look. The combination of advertising boards, curves and light design brings a vigorous and joyful atmosphere.

The rooftop of the commercial podium connects a green garden with terraces, waterfalls, bars and restaurants for relaxation and great user-friendly experience. It is also an ecological roof garden integrating the concept of sustainable development, with rainwater harvesting and solar energy harvesting functions.
The 45-floors office tower rises over 200 meters in height above the Joy City Mall. Having a slim and elegant “sails” looking, it balances with the high-rise apartments building, creating an iconic skyline.
The overall design provides a comprehensive and dynamic Joy City Complex integrating shopping, social interaction, entertainment, office and living.
