III.IDEA: Rhythmic Space ‘Dancing Ribbon’
A. Space Definition:
A ‘Dancing Ribbon’ cleverly connects the eight surrounding functional spaces, integrating Chengdu’s historical and cultural essence of Shu embroidery, achieving an organic integration of space and cultural depth. The freely flowing ribbon presents a unique design language and visual experience.
B. Circulation Guidance:
The ribbon rises from the ground, winding around the interior of the building, connecting different levels and creating a coherent flow, bringing rhythm and vitality to the space.
C. Cultural and Social Interaction:
Floor-to-ceiling windows reveal the interior ‘Ribbon’ art space, attracting foot traffic. The step plaza, reading café, and parent-child interaction zone strengthen social cohesion.
