Inspired by Japanese culture and nature’s beauty, ‘Grand Tsuru’ is an architectural masterpiece. The name, meaning ‘crane’ in Japanese, symbolizes the project’s essence, reflected in the mirrored slopes of the roofs. The properties exude a sense of weightlessness reminiscent of traditional Japanese timber framing, accentuated by extended eaves and vertical metal cladding with natural wood louvers on the facade.

The architectural design harmoniously blends horizontal and vertical lines, meticulously crafted to mirror the natural surroundings. The low, elongated roof structure seamlessly integrates with the forest, creating a visual symphony from the Japanese-style entrance throughout the building. ‘Grand Tsuru’ transcends being a mere residence; it stands as a testament to the artful fusion of form, function, and the profound beauty that envelops it.

The project prioritizes capturing enchanting views of the surrounding forest while ensuring privacy. This is achieved through a longitudinal perspective, expansive windows, balconies, deliberate setbacks from the road, a semi-blind wall crafted from metal cladding, and clever adjustments in building placement. This balance between openness and seclusion allows residents to enjoy the serenity of nature without sacrificing privacy, a crucial aspect for such luxurious properties.

Architectural elegance is achieved through the introduction of vertical elements using natural wood louvers, timber cladding, and metal cladding. The concealment of mechanical equipment ensures a seamless integration into the design, resonating with luxury and exclusivity. Two distinct areas of beauty and functionality, the living-dining-kitchen area and the master bedroom with ensuite bathroom, enhance the bespoke elegance of the property.

The skip floor concept, a key design element, maintains a low-profile and unobtrusive presence from the road and within the forest. This innovative design choice, paired with a straight roof, not only achieves visual discretion but also enhances luminosity in the living spaces. The skip floor arrangement unfolds into four distinctive functional areas, connected by a monumental stair centerpiece, offering a delightful visual journey through the property.

‘Grand Tsuru’ transcends traditional architecture, embodying a fusion of Japanese culture, natural splendor, and meticulous design. It stands as a testament to architectural grace, cultural influence, and the profound beauty of its surroundings. With breathtaking views, privacy considerations, and a commitment to architectural elegance, ‘Grand Tsuru’ establishes itself as a unique and luxurious retreat in the captivating snow haven of Niseko.
